Get the congressmen to read the redactions about Trump aloud.

Start a pedophile registry of Republicans.

I think Michelle Obama just wanted to say some words that made DNC voters feel a feeling of superiority as the party they voted for did very little to address the material conditions the voters lives, while the RNC repeatedly enacted their policies of racism and oppression, hoping the voter would think “things are just slower when you do them ‘the right way’.”

Michelle was front and center of the public attempts to whitewash GW Bush after his presidency, I think too many people hold her and her husband on a pedestal that only looks impressive compared to what we have now. They’re both still just politicians.

There’s plenty of examples of Democrats going low. Against progressives.

Clinton bringing up the birther bullshit against Obama that Trump would build his campaign on.

    PUMA PAC.

    The entire 2016 primaries.

The coordinated dropouts in the 2020 primaries.

Forcing Harris on us in 2024.

The party’s selective protection of incumbents. (Henry Cuellar got protection while Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman did not, as an example.)

    The ouster of David Hogg.

    The Islamophobic attacks against Mamdani.

I’m sure there are plenty more, but this is just off the top of my head.

Going low against republicans? Doesn’t happen. They only go low against their enemies.

Expanding the number of supreme court seats to ensure a DNC-aligned majority. Fillibusters. Executive orders. Gerrymandering. Giving state rights to left-leaning territories and split states to create extra DNC-aligned senate seats. Attack ads. Restrict campaign funding for major donors so Republicans have less propaganda funding than Democrats do. Give migrants citizenship so they vote Democrat.

Basically, use every trick they can get away with to push the Democrat agenda through and to increase the chances of Democrats winning future elections.

        Henry Cuellar

This guy had a progressive challenger in 2022. The party put its weight behind Cuellar, who won the primary by something like 500 votes. Centrists at the time, having forced through the anti-choice anti-labor nra-backed candidate they wanted, pretended that the party’s protection was because he was an incumbent and not just because they were trying to shut out progressives.

Then the party did nothing in 2024 to protect incumbents Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman.

when we got the ACA passed through the senate via administrative procedures without enough votes (senator Kennedy died and the state lost its seat to a Republican, really unfortunate. senator Kennedy had worked for decades to get healthcare reform through congress and was a co-sponsor of the bill.)

they also dislike that teachers tell children to be kind in schools, for whatever reason.

So “going low” involves killing your own campaign promises in order to preserve the filibuster.
