Was anticipating my first tomato harvest, but the weather decided to have heavy rain daily for about a week or so right before they’re ready, ruining the tomatoes. Better luck next time i guess.

    Such is life in farming.

    Next time this happens, you might snip them off with a bit of vine, stick em in a paper bag, and see if they ripen. If not, plenty of uses for green tomatoes too!

      Yeah im gonna try it next time, the rain is unexpected(as with all rain in tropical country), and the crack happened just a day or two after the first day of heavy rain.

        Yeah, too much water too fast causes them to swell and split. That’s when you’d want to harvest them.
