Seems like they’re having some of that.

According to the IDF’s report, 13 soldiers were killed by friendly fire after being mistaken for enemy combatants, one from a stray bullet and another six in various accidents, such as being run over by armored vehicles.

(Not from the posted incident btw)

There was a video of a Hamas militant planting an RPG round on a tank and sliding back into a tunnel. Then there was also the israeli point of view of the same event of them watching the tank from atop a building ~250 metres away.

The first thing the IDF watchers did after the explosion was unload their entire magazines onto the tank and it’s vicinity.

When I first got the news I thought something was strange.
Then I realized what that was: in this “war” / Genocide we have not been used to reading about dead soldiers, just civilians and children.
    Scary stuff.

People are still convinced that the IDF only lost 219 people in total? Give me a break.

While I’m sure their casualties are undercounted (as are everyone’s), I find it very easy to believe that the real numbers are still low; dropping guided munitions on children doesn’t expose your troops to much risk

I’m still surprised out of all the military footage that came out of this war, the most interesting was the Trophy APS failing to function multiple times against generation old RPGs.

I mean, Hamas and Hezbollah published their strategy for defeating the APS via standoff distance, speed, and spamming based off of their experience engaging Merkavas.

But there’s several videos where the system didn’t even activate.

Hamas literally walked up to tanks to place explosive charges without issue.

The IDF is an absolute mess.

they did. But there’re at least 2 footages showing them literally 0 distance from tanks, placing the ammos. There’s another crazy footage of a guy climbing up an embankment and shot at a tank within maybe like less than 5m head-on.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“We are still studying and investigating the details of the event and the reasons for the explosion,” Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told reporters.

The assault came as Israeli forces pushed deep into western Khan Younis in Gaza, with an air, sea and land bombardment that included storming a hospital and arresting medical staff, Gaza health ministry spokesman Ashraf al Qidra told Reuters news agency.

At least 50 people were killed on Sunday night in Khan Younis, Mr Qidra said, adding the sieges at medical facilities meant rescuers could not reach the dead and wounded.

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said on Monday that Israel had a right to defend itself, but added: “We expect them to do so in accordance with international law and to protect innocent people in hospitals, medical staff and patients as well, as much as possible.”

The Israeli military has recently intensified strikes on Khan Younis in southern Gaza - which it believes is where top Hamas commanders are holed up.

Hamas militants crossed into Israel from the Gaza Strip in an unprecedented surprise assault, holding Israeli towns and military posts under siege, targeting a dance music festival, and killing and abducting civilians.
