    Another warehouse rave tonight.

This time a private warehouse. Last one was basically just a big abandoned tin shed.

Loving the return to the underrground scene. BYO at these things is great. Ticket for this was $40, which is what you’d usually pay for an international headliner in a bar / club. But that’s like 2 pints these days so there’s that.

Also has one of the biggest custom sound systems in Aus this time that’s used for large outdoor festivals:

    eee

In coburg so a few late night PT options which is good.

With ticket prices these days that’s a steal compared to big shows. And most of that money will be going to the artists and organisers

Pretty productive day all things considered.

    Pickled some daikon and jalapenos.

Rearranged wardrobe. Took some clothes to a charity bin. Went to the gym. Had a nap. Went out for dinner.

Waiting to pick up one of the kids from a mates place and maybe watch a movie at home.

Local chippy in Thornbury: until about a year ago, was great for chips but the fish was meh. Then it changed hands, and the fish became great but the chips were meh. Has changed hands again in the last month - the fish is now good normal but the potat cak is GOD-TIER! Best I’ve ever had. Maybe I just got lucky.

It’s an old English custom/saying meant to bring good luck! You have to say out loud three times as the very first thing you say on the first day of each month. My mum instilled the habit, and still messages me first thing in the morning every first of the month with three “white rabbits”. I do try to say it first thing every month 🐇🐇🐇.

Edit: my mum is also into numerogy/astrology, and apparently today especially is extra lucky for both me and her in numerology - she’s buying a lotto ticket and so am I!

Edit2: apparently the draw number 4699 makes it even luckier still 😂

I’ve only ever heard “white rabbits” from Perthians lol

But I had the one you said, “pinch punch first day of the month, slip slap can’t do it back” 😂

Had two new random neighbours in the back garden at 7am (which really doesn’t happen down here). Young couple. Literally moved in yesterday.

Turns out they were trying to scale the fence as they forgot their key. Didn’t ask. just started walking through the garden and climbing lol.

Did not like that body language. Overly confident bf, very submissive gf. yikes.

Hopefully for her sake that shit’s alright.

Anyway have a new mini art display on the fireplace:

Painting is probs 30yrs old and been in the cupboard the whole time. Really nice astro thing.

Really old shackles put up around the corner:

Lighthouse is a key holder thing that’s been there forever. By accident kinda makes sense. Stars above the point lonsdale lighthouse! As kids we used to get high there and look up for hours so that makes sense too. Looking closely there’s an outline of what looks like ned kelly (maybe). So that and the shackles close together makes sense as well.

Was a bugger getting them up there.

Usually when putting shit on walls here it’s not a democracy (I have no say). So far so good. They’re so high up I’m the only one in the fam who can take them down lol.

But I am coming back into the city after two weeks in warmer realms and it’s nice to see it still bright at 5:40! Not looking forward to the cold but it’s the dark that ends me

the sunsets here the past two weeks have been so beautiful, bright and orange

the early sunsets is what got to me when living in Belgium, sun goes down at 4 and my Aussie internal clock says night time, time to stop doing things

I don’t mind dark in the morning, just in the early evening

        cold is just cold

Now in possession of an author scribbled book. And a social cut that could be measured in Kelvin. Not sorry.
