After a productive day yesterday I spent today in lazy mode instead. I did do some online shopping, mostly boring work clothes, but I have also ordered a reindeer antler headband for Christmas and a couple of Christmas t-shirts.

I may have got a touch overexcited. Probably because I haven’t had breakfast and it’s apparently already lunch time (although I’m not sure where the time all went, I thought it was around 10am!)

9/10, I think that’s an all time high for me

A plate of French pastries and a cocktail please.

I got through planting my seeds for today. There are about 30 different types, way too many of them being different variaties of tomato. It would have been good to get most of them started much earlier, hopefully I’ll be able to do that next year as everything will be set up ready.

I made an early start on my garden support assembling last night and now have four garden obelisks sitting in my shower (the one I don’t use, it may as well do something). I have set up a shelf over the bath (which I also don’t use) in a nice bright spot to put some of my punnets onto until the seeds sprout and they can be moved outdoors. The dog has been walked, breakfast has been eaten. I think I’m ready to move onto seed planting now.

It turned out to be quite a nice day today and I got a bit of gardening done. I put some weed & feed on the grass, mostly hoping to get rid of the bindiis, and a couple of other rampant weeds that have gotten a bit overexcited about spring. I planted out some shallots & potato onions (which are a lot like shallots) and sorted out my seed planting plans for tomorrow. Which involved a fair bit of searching through boxes to find some of my gardening stuff which is still packed. I’m still missing a couple of things, but nothing too important.
I hope to get onto some assembling of plant supports tomorrow too, which will help visualise where everything will fit in the garden and help with laying everything out.

Sometimes misleading advertising. I bought a freezer from there a couple of years ago and they were advertising a credit for future purchases that turned out to be so restrictive it was basically useless. Apparently ACCC pulled them up on it and made them send out vouchers with no restrictions or time limits, so I got an unexpected $60 voucher recently (which paid for the toaster I picked up today!)

I have successfully braved the local post office to pick up my toaster and return some long-overdue library books. I can now authoritatively say that it is an awful, badly designed carpark I would be very happy never to return to.
I also went to Bunnings, which was fairly hard to actually get to despite being just over the road. Actually getting there involved a large loop and a ridiculously long light cycle at traffic lights. Then when I was checking out the eftpos machine wasn’t working and after three attempts I had to move to another register to pay. I will be happy to be able to stay home for a while now - I have nearly two weeks off and have plans to not go anywhere.
I managed to spend almost $150 on various shit. A mix of cow and chicken, plus some liquified fish for good measure. When Mr Woof gets a sniff of it all he’s going to be very impressed.
On the way home I could see they have surveyors out in the paddocks over the road which are slated for a new estate. The cows were very interested, and one of the surveyors was having to survey in the middle of a herd of bovine helpers.

For anyone who would like to see today’s Bad Art in one place, I have consolidated them all for you. There is a little bit of good, a lot of bad and little bit of seriously questionable content.

Nice. Good shaping of the head/body (my knowledge of correct octopus anatomy terms is a touch lacking!)

I had a play with the watercolour brush on the drawing app, not a bad effect.

My selection in the workplace sweep came in 23rd.
My personal selections (I picked the first three, with no money riding on it) came in last, 16th and 21st. This is why I don’t put money on my selections. It probably doesn’t help that my selections are based entirely on what colours the jockeys are wearing.

I spent way too long on this! I present to you all:

Is that the original concept art for Ditta Von Teese’s martini glass act?

He’s definitely a cheerful one.

I like the dog, he’s got real character. You’re way better and drawing than I am , and very brave taking on hands.

I can smell that picture. The lovely smell of last night’s wine as it goes down the drain. The stubborn red ring left in the glass, the stain on the teeth. All things I don’t miss about drinking!
If you find out let me know, we are only expecting 9 here!
