Not sure I want to know, but as someone that’s never been in a horse float, why are the walls slimy? I would think their pee and poo just drops to the floor?

Atmospheric moisture plus the fact that the poop & pee (for mares) originates at about shoulder height on us humans, or higher. And splashes, and gets kicked around, trodden on and smeared. And if the horse is feeling a bit nervous, then EVERYTHING comes out in liquid form and splashes. I have seen splashes on the roof of horsefloats.
