Just had my head hunt interview. It was 2 hours and included doing a cold demo of a product I’ve never used before.

They gave me a basic business case and access to the software for the first time.

If I succeed they’re willing to pay relocation costs to QLD.

Let’s see how this plays out.

Went for a wander and a shop, started to get tempted by expensive things, so I had a whole conversation with myself and told myself to be financially responsible and head home before the trains get too busy.

Congratulated myself for making a smart choice and made my way towards the station.

Anyway, now I’m at a rooftop bar.

Nooooo, I’m already nearly home. Farrrrrk. I should have stuck around.

I did think of you today as I walked past one of the set ups and some tech/finance bro says “I just think it’s wild that someone is paid for this art but it’s just… lights.” Like, DUDE.

Minor dislike: getting tailgated by someone on the footpath so they don’t have to look up from their phone.

👀😅 oh shit that’s me loooool, though not to look at my phone. Men tend to be better at carving a path through a crowd of pedestrians, as a short lil enby, it’s easier to get around when I’m behind a tall guy.

No one sees me down here, so tall men are a blessing for me.

Also, next time, just drop your guts and I’m sure they’ll gtfo quicksmart lol

    so proud of my dad

He spent his free time over the last year doing The Planets on his collection of synths (he has like 6 or 7 from the 80s-00s), he’d tell me about trying to get them to capture the sound of whatever instrument, and then putting them all together.

Well he finally did it! And I got a copy! Eyyooo! Now I need to turn on the PS2 to play it, because I surprisingly don’t have a CD player nor a PC with a disk drive (I remember when disk drives were standard in PCs FFS, can we bring that back pls)

I suggested that to him, because he has a very tiny yt channel where he’d upload his 3d animations. I don’t think he’s uploaded in years no though, and he said he didn’t think it would be worth uploading this lol.

Idk if it’s my place to do so either, I didn’t make it lol

And yes I ought to, though honestly I’d like a CD player. I used to have one that had a handle to carry it it, and the speakers were covered in a transparent blue plastic so you could see the insides lol. It had a tape deck too and a radio, so I’d sit there with a blank tape and record songs off the radio, timing it to avoid ads and the DJs 😂 I dream of owning that again tbh, I’m sure Hurricane Mum chucked it out in one of her “everything you own has bad vibes” episodes 😂

uuurghgghhgh goddamn Germans really don’t have the english proficiency they think they have when it comes to technical discussions.

Which would be fine but they have to be such monumental arseholes about it.

BYD Sealion 5. It’s a very practical purchase. Nothing too exciting. Although I will enjoy the adaptive cruise control and driving to and from work all on battery

Incub8tor at Melbourne central is great, lots of pins and local art stuff. Wish I could buy the whole store tbh.

My friend bought me a “be gay do crime” key ring thing which I adore

Literally the first place I went. Stumbled on it a few months back and it was sadly too busy to browse properly today. Suffice to say, today I have supported ze artists and I will enjoy my loot.

I remember going to minotaur to find a gift for my mate (my ex’s friend really, but I thought we were friends too lol, how naive). Well, I found a massive photo book of Suicide Girls at Minotaur and bought it for him.

Silly me. Should have kept it for myself (I wanted to be a suicide girl lol 👀😅), because old mate turned into a incel gooner type commenting on AI girls on Threads and Insta 😂😂😂

Minotaur has amazing stuff, bought Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman from them when I couldn’t find it elsewhere (also many years ago now), because it had a follow up short story about Shadow from American Gods (my fav book hands down no notes).

        GO TO MINOTAUR

I put a rule in for myself that I was not allowed to go into minotaur unless I had at least a hundy in disposable cash that I would not care to lose.

🥂Cheers. I am in another (warm) realm and have the day off so drinking day has started! Warm sun drinking is also awesome (and have been randomly adopted by a Vic family also at this table in this realm)

New action camera arrived today too. Once I get some accessories I could use it as a B-cam with the Pocket. Set it up somewhere for b-roll and timelapses whilst doing actual shooting with the Pocket.

I just need actual clients now to justify everything

The DJI Osmo Action Pro 5. Saw there was a bit of a deal on it and decided to just get one. I’m starting to get more photography gear so I’ll be set once i can connect it to my tripods.

My dumb short term idea is to use phone clamps since it has a front facing screen

mmm, so since I take so many photos when I’m hiking and in a rough environment, sand, salt spray, very uneven and rough ground, I see so much that is moving, an action camera might be a good idea ,

it’s just pics for me and the seagoons and for me to share here and thereabouts , nothing special
