There’s an app I’m using called Mlem. It’s the only iOS app out there at the moment. It’s still in beta testing with about 2 weeks to go for official launch. It’s fully inspired by Apollo.
You can download “ TestFlight “ from The App Store and then try to get the latest version here👇
@hasteee@StudChud while it’s not ideal and doesn’t look little Reddit, it’s worth noting that there are several Mastodon apps which you can use to follow communities (or users) on kbin & lemmy, and you might find that gives you a bit of a window into how different the Fediverse is - it’s kindof like being able to post to Reddit from Twitter, and receive replies in your Twitter notifications.
@hasteee haha that’s one of many differences between Fediverse and gated silos, you don’t really need to rush for a username, you choose a server you think is well maintained and fits your ethos and hope for the best, the biggest servers aren’t necessarily the best choice. Right now the #threadiverse is groaning under the weight of new users, and because it got attention so suddenly, the servers are often struggling to cope with the increased traffic. that will settle down, but right now aussie.zone seems to be doing well (aus.social Mastodon server was in a similar position when Space Karen bought Twitter). I just love that I can have a conversation on the “equivalent” of a Reddit thread, from my most used account on the “equivalent” of Twitter, and have it all in the same timeline. It can be good to separate accounts out, sure, but I’m experimenting here and liking the results so far.
I guess I’m saying don’t think of it as just a Reddit replacement, start thinking of the Fediverse in a different way, though having an app which shows you Reddit style interface and has those features at its centre, will also be great, they just aren’t here yet =)
What’s a good client for iOS for this website? I used Apollo for iOS and that’s the reason I’m cutting back on Reddit.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks for the reply mate.
I did actually sign up for Mastodon the other day, thought I’d get my preferred username sorted out before the rush for it.
I figure both Twitter and Reddit are on borrowed time but I’d be lying if I said I understood the fediverse just yet.
Will save this tab for tomorrow and get it all checked out!
