If someone burned my favorite book I’d have no opinion at all. There’s more printings out there and the only opinion I really care about is my own. (And partner, and cats I guesssss)

My favorite book is probably my most prized possession. It is also out of print and signed by the author who is now long dead.

I like to think of myself as peaceful and not overly attached to possessions, but if someone burned that book, I’d be hard-pressed.
