Same but I use Syncthing instead
I’m an old age redditor, and that was may reddiquette, “don’t downvote just because you don’t like the topic, maybe other people find it interesting”.
Mostly I don’t downvote at all, only on some rude or spam posts.
Reddit just become something where everyone downvote everything for no reason, even if just say “OK” ou “that’s cool”!
On Lemmy (ate least for now), not so much or I don’t see it.
If you see a post “orange is the best color”, don’t downvote just because you don’t like orange, leave a comment and express your opinion instead
PS: There’s an old Reddiquette song, the same can be applied to fediverse

Setup some RSS bots to auto-post news on your instance.
No bad, but terrible. Meta/Facebook is about to launch is own Twitter clone, people will just migrate to there
It could be defined by the instance or community
https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/06-other-features.html#language-tags
If you set the language(s), it will show only posts with tha language (is set) on your feed, otherwise shows all languages.
https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/06-other-features.html#language-tags
Most posts don’t have a language defined (undefined), don’t know if they’ll also show on your feed.
Depending of your instance, see the local communities, you should have some for “community request” or meta, look for the description of the communities.
You can also request on other instance, doesn’t need to be on your instance. Some can be more restrict then others.
There’s also theme specific instances, like Star Trek, Path of Exile, FOSS… each instance can have his own rules.
“I have nothing to hide”
People just want to use the app, like on TikTok “China is spying you, it will be blocked” many started to looking for VPNs to unblock the app.
Instead of using and app for each service, you can use their page as webapp, with something like Native Alpha or web browser.
Fedilab supports multiple networks, don’t take much to run it.
There are some pros and cons of using native apps or web apps.
Native apps can have some features that webapps don’t, like direct/quick share, notifications…
Web apps you only need a web browser that’s already included, don’t take more space, use less battery for background process, and less permissions.

Reddit is restoring deleted posts (and probably comments)
There are some apps for Android, mostly in alpha/beta https://lemmy.world/post/465785
Liftoff looks nice
Kinda, you should use @commonlisp@lemmy.ml but won’t show anything, you need to follow, after that when new posts are made all posts and comments will show as reply on mastodon.
Need to ask on !liftoff@lemmy.world
you should do a update and posted on Lemmy (*cof* and Reddit)
Maybe not so long, like a quick guide or a serie of videos.
Maybe you should reposted here
