If you’re not going act rational, you can’t solve any problems big or small. Climate change is a big one, if you burn down your forests it will worsen climate issues in your country. You have sovereignty to do so, but it ultimately hurts your progress as well as damages the global effort to address the effects of the changing climate.

Batman seems like a potentially plausible reality in the future, factoring in a fuck ton of money AND the Batcomputer, one of the most underrated aspects pf the character. Assuming he’s working with next gen tech on the computer you could plausibly consider that the Batcomputer has some incredible AI capabilities that could give his normal power set to a real world person (to a degree). It could make plans, develop new bat gadgets, research, create work out and training regiments, etc etc. Wouldn’t fit for OP’s question but someone could eventually become somewhat of a Batman in the future with enough drive and money.

I think it’s best to have a roster of accessories for EDC tbh. You choose the loadout that makes sense for what you’re doing not bringing everything everywhere every time.

Flashlight for me comes with me when it’s evening/night or there is work where it might be handy (car repair for example). But it’s not in the starting line-up just a 6th man coming off the bench frequently.

Currently it certainly feels like OS is kicking the crap out of big tech in the AI space. Tech might have the money, but they don’t have enough brains to win the intelligence battle against the collective weight of nerds worldwide lol.

iirc computing is pretty gimped in Dune as well because of previous issues with AI, humanity limited development on that front and focused on developing human capabilities instead, which is where spice came into play…it like super charged your cognition in order to navigating ships through space or something like that. Someone familiar with books please correct that I’m sure it’s not perfect.

Think the carriers are mostly there more to say “nobody else get involved” and help prevent this from becoming a wider conflict.
