Another vote for Ferdium. Although my use case is primarily for Google Chat, since I dislike it being in a browser tab. And since I don’t use Chrome I can’t/won’t install their PWA.

Just to throw in my two cents… I’m on iOS version 207 (which appears to be the latest) and this setting was not on for me.
I am sorry you had to go through that. Interestingly, I’m almost the reverse. I had a group of friends I thought I was close with. Started dating a girl, everyone got along. When I proposed to her the friends all felt that I betrayed my then-roommate friend, and they all bailed on our friendships. I tried to explain how I felt, I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone.
They took, spouting all kinds of hurtful things to me and my girlfriend like how we’d never last and how she was my “trophy”. Years later we’re still together, happy, and (mostly) healthy. While at least one of them has been divorced (only mentioning that to point out the irony).
So I ended up losing a whole group of friends in exchange for my wife, who is my best friend. As much as that time hurt, if I had to do it again I would never choose them over her.
I can’t say I’m surprised. And I’m glad I got all my work stuff off there earlier this year. Guess I need to clean up whatever remaining personal notes I left behind and never look back. It’s a shame, cuz they used to be the best option out there.
I’ve recently been trying to de-Google my life. I used to be all in on them, but they’ve changed and so have I.
And yea Facebook sucks, but it’s how I can keep some semblance of social interaction by lurking what other people are doing. 😭
Have you read Ready Player One? Cuz they more or less did that in the book. If not, I highly recommend it. The sequel isn’t quite as good, but was still fun.
Where’s the mechanical keyboard communities? Not that I need to see any more kb things to waste my money on. 😂
Obsidian does… sorta. They call it “canvas”. But I think it’s more for visually connecting notes to other notes, not to connect different things within a given note.
The 2080 assumes you’re salaried at the normal 40 hours per week rate. Salaried employees don’t get a variable amount each week if you work more or less hours than normal.
Sweet, subscribed. Always been a fan of incrementals. Lately I’ve been playing Synergism.
