In terms if logging: sys journal does the job for me …
I do run prometheus + grafana for some services but that is mostly for some fancy looking graphics nothing really usefull.
I would recomend you to monitor updates of you apps so you are well informed when und what to update (i just have subsribed to all the diffrent release git rss feeds)
@strypey ist right :) matrix has a equivalent to guilds/servers.
In theory it has same functionality as discord (chat/voice/video/etc) via integration but thats lacking good ui/ux. so right now i would only see it as a chat platform with potential.
Pixelfed as instagram alternative is a big one i guess.

Probably matrix: I dug a bit into the perotocol and started hosting my own instance. Mastodon followed (but not selfhosted)
