Also this type of integration could be implemented, the projects are young enough to make big changes on how they work.
Reddit refugee chilling on kbin.

I think kbin has a good aproach to this, a completely different tab that allows you to make posts in the mastodon format. This could also be the case on lemmy some point, however I would understand if lemmy users don’t want this at all.
I understand, there’s many people that want nothing to do with a community like that, me included, but ultimately it will being attention to it, because some sympathize with these points of view. Hopefully the admins of shitjustworks take measures to make sure there’s no racism on their instance.
I think with time, compatibility between different services will become better, so far with lemmy limited compatibility and kbin with full compatibility, we are going in a good direction
I think this type of posts will have an opposite impact to what we want, we are just giving it the attention it needs to become what it was on Reddit, my recommendation? Block it immediately.
That makes sense
My question is: Why? When he was just focused on spaceX and Tesla very few times I would hear about this behavior (I might just live under a rock). But now that he is focused on Twitter it’s like he decided to be a piece of shit even more.
This is what I fear the most tbh
Meta’s incursion in the fediverse might cause very bad effects, there’s nothing preventing them from spitting add from their new platform to all other platforms compatible with it.
I really hope that if we come to that, admins will defederate immediately.
If you want to follow from kbin go to https://kbin.social/m/syncforlemmy@lemmy.world
Also you can use my browser extension and just click on the icon:
Kbin Link for Chrome
Kbin Link for Firefox
A kbin API is in the works, if we manage to make it compatible with lemmy this app would be usable for kbin as well.
Great news!, if kbin implements a lemmy-like (which is being discussed) api this app would be entirely compatible as well!
Even tho they didn’t move to the fediverse, I’m glad they left reddit.
If you want to crosspost content from reddit automatically use: https://github.com/daniel-lxs/BotIt,
It’s intended for links and I wouldn’t encourage using it for anything else cause you know, stealing content from others is not good.
But if you need a link aggregator for your community this might do it.
Edit: this is a work in progress, so expect bugs.
I think the only difference is that there’s at least a chance to keep interacting with the community from an instance that is not showing ads.
Check my response to Lionir above (or below?) :)
I’ve been working on a browser extension that makes easier the navigation between communities from different instances by adding an icon to the start of a community name or link.
So for example if you have !technology@lemmy.ml or https://lemmy.ml/c/technology clicking the icon will take you to https://beehaw.org/c/technology@lemmy.ml. It’s a small thing but very useful for us kbin users, however it works with lemmy as well.
Also I’m working on a bot for kbin, specially made for subreddit mods that want to get content from their subreddits into a magazine, to help a little with the lack on content.
I’ve been doing so many things for kbin, it has literally reignited my passion to code. I’m having a blast
I’m so glad that me deleting my account made them mad, I’m so glad it hurt them
Funny thing is, this is exactly what reddit wants. When it’s time to show the traffic after API shutdown they’ll show the traffic of all the users that are protesting, and guess what, it’ll be higher than before the API shutdown
