Pretty much when I bought my house it’s been mostly grown-up feeling since then. Interest rates, insurance rates, and debt-service ratios are always in the back of my mind now.
Once I pay off my vehicle debt I’ll be able to bankroll a better house outside of town with some land. Assuming shit doesn’t go pear shaped in the next 3-4 years…
Also, playing the “should I dump my bonuses into my RRSP or pay down debt” game… never had medium or longer term goals before.
I work a 4/3 schedule, which is far better for the extra day, but it’s still not enough… There’s a tantalizing 7/7 possibility murmuring about though
Have they fixed enterprise sso yet?
Thanks, I get quietly called brave a lot for it at the beach!
This is terrifying. Thank fuck I’m not in the US. I already get anxious when some random knocks on my door. If they started spouting off about praying for me and my family I’d be weirded right the fuck out.
Granted, I love my physical privacy. I generally don’t answer the door to plain cloths unless I’m expecting someone. My 5 year goal is to move outside of my current town and have no neighbours. Preferably with a nice long driveway that I may install a gate on at the road.
iPhone SE - work phone provided by work. No idea why iPhone vs Android other than general uniformity and maybe security. I do have the choice of Android or iPhone for my next one, so who knows. Really tempted to go for Pixel Pro because I’m still not used to the differences in navigation a year and a half later. I fuckin hate my work phone. It doesn’t help that my personal is a Pixel 5 and I use the shit out of the back sensor, gonna miss that when this dies.
Apple AirPods Pro - these were a gift when I visited a sister site and they’re awesome. They were better before whatever firmware update happened that forced them to Adaptive Audio or Transparent though. Kind of annoying, but still awesome for being free.
Physically impossible as per our current understanding of physics, mathematics, and technology.
Deodorant user here. I smell great because of it. I didn’t like antiperspirant because I also found I smelt worse because of it and it never really stopped the sweat very well anyways.
Something you may not factor in though is people expire at different rates. Also, some people smell worse than others regardless of expiration time and some perspire more.
Any way whatsoever after my kids, including with the knowledge that they will expire shortly after me.
Same, cut my monthly housing cost by almost $1000 two years ago. So many good things have happened as a result as well, because it was a move between regions and opened up alternative employment options not previously available. As a result I also doubled my income.
My person, arms and legs are both appendages. But now that you mention it… is a trail an appendage?
There’s the magic of not giving a shit after. But good point, it’s entirely possible to do this to some extent as an anonymous benefactor. And at $20mil annually guaranteed income I could always hire someone to do it for me.
Also, I’d be buying remote wilderness and building a self sustaining off grid homestead and not telling most people how to find me. I don’t like visitors.
All mine and my family debts paid. Immediate and extended. Friends too. Then a life of leisure followed by paying the debts of the strangers I meet along the way.
I’ll be my age forever, perfectly ok with that. Make taking the bum pill part of a daily exercise routine.
I’m so happy we have a T1 service desk to handle that, really frees up the time to deal with user error. The mining industry is a real mixed bag but the skill development is top notch.
IT is fun, I do anywhere from 2 hours to 16 hours in my 8hr shift depending on what the day brings me. 16 hours is the extreme rare, of course, and either outage or project based.
It doesn’t bother me one bit of you know my search history. You’ll learn I search a word to see if I know your to spell it properly and that I DIY a lot of stuff lol
