Encephalopathy seems to be from toxins not physical trauma. Was he a grounds keeper?
Are you unfamiliar with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy? CTE is linked to repeated head trauma. Physical trauma. Not toxins. It’s right there in the name: “chronic traumatic.”

Encephalopathy just means brain problem, like neuropathy is a nerve problem, cardiopathy is a heart problem, and so on.
