In no particular order my favorites are roasted homestyle potatoes, roasted and salted nuts, strongly flavored fruits, and toast. Toast is the best one by far, top tier food generally but especially while baked. I know nuts and fruit isn’t what most people think of as stoner food but they work for me and

If you do this try to avoid eating 1/2lb of nuts in one sitting. They are very high in fat and could cause interesting poops. Especially don’t do this with Brazil nuts as they are mildly poisonous.

For some people they choose these fields out of a sense of duty to the community but this is rare and not likely to fill the required productive capacity. The end goal should be automating these fields and a communist society run by workers would inherently work towards this goal. However in the mean time incentives like an early retirement and reduced working hours would likely boost numbers significantly. This is a sacrifice though as it means more people are required to do the job and these workers stop contributing to society at an earlier age, depending on the material conditions and specific stage of development this could be much harder to accomplish in which case that sense of duty would have to be reinforced by culture. The socialist transition is no paradise, it requires dangerous work and personal sacrifice to create a better world. There are likely other incentives that could be implemented more easily but these are the first two I thought of.

Completely agree that they would fight back I just think they are less equipped to do so. War with venezuela would be a guerilla war of attrition on Venezuelan soil but Russia and the DPRK could bring the war to us. Not very effectively but it is still a risk. I don’t think the US will invade Venezuela either but I find it likely that we will see bombings and maybe an attempt to arm Guyana (a lot less likely and I don’t know enough about Guyana to judge if they would actually do this but they have a close enough relationship with the US that I consider it possible) and use them as a proxy to take nearby territory with oil reserves. The current administration doesn’t have the political capital to use many US troops if any.

iirc he murdered a woman and scattered her body parts in trash cans on a college campus. I might be thinking of someone else because it has been a while but I pretty sure this is the guy. They spent hours trying to interrogate him and he effectively said nothing while remaining uncannily still. It sort of matters for the post but not that much.

Hierarchy is useful for organisation of a military and siege economy when faced with an external threat. Whether it is “good” or “bad” depends on how it is used and why. Hierarchy in general is damaging to the relationships of persons who exist within it and generally lead to abuse of power. I would like to see hierarchy done away with but this is only possible when external threats to one’s life and economy are eliminated.
