Found some Australians in the station who were looking for the same line. I asked them if they had an iPhone because they had no money on their Suicas and they said, “iPhones are for teenage girls.”
May I look like a teenager for another few years. I shall look into anti-aging products besides sunscreen.
Also, the airport has motorised chairs moving near the gates for passengers to use. Very, very cool.
Giving a shit about someone’s choice of phone is wanker behaviour. I’m amazed at the dickhead Aussies I meet traveling. I forget there are people who voted for Scomo and Dutton.
Yeah, lots of Aussies there that were loud. But saw other non-Aussie tourists do things too, hopefully unintentionally, like drink from all the three streams at Kiyomizu-dera. There were three streams to drink water from; one for love life, success in business or school and longevity. You’re supposed to only drink from one but some greedy people drank from all of them
Be careful with anti aging products, they can irritate your skin or age you prematurely if not used very carefully (and at the time you need them).
Edit: if you use them you will need to be extra vigilant on sunscreen especially, as they can make your skin more vulnerable to sun damage. And it’s probably better to wait until at least your 30s. Or when your skin starts to need more help turning over and need the strong exfoliants. Please consult a dermatologist rather than just buy from Sephora.
What helped me most is sunscreen, moisturiser and genetics. What aged me most was poor nutrition, poor sleep, brief smoking and long years of stress.
Thanks Melba! I’ve been having eczema for a few months and the dr today said I needed to be using a heavy duty moisturiser once I’ve done a few days w the steroid cream so it is less likely to come back. The power of a moisturiser.

Turns out I’m a teenage girl as well. Also who says that to someone trying to offer help? Oof hope they weren’t that rude to the locals.
Sunscreen & wilful barenness FTW. Though if somebody mistakes me for 17 they need a new optometrist
I tick both boxes and pulled up looking fairly young for now but 17? Umm… maybe from a distance. The Monet kind of distance.

A good bland moisturiser is great.
