I don’t agree with this. Russia invaded Ukraine so I agree with Ukraine defending itself against Russia.

United States killed a school full of little girls (they hit it multiple times) and killed Iran’s supreme leader so I don’t blame Iran defending itself against United States.

But wtf did Iran do to Ukraine?

Edit: apparently there’s more to it see the person who commented below

Ukraine is a strong ally of Israel, and is a part of the genocide of Palestine. Unfortunately, “anti-warism” and always siding with the defending side is not necessarily the correct stance, reality is far more complex.

Reminder of what Western liberals actually believe:

They only selectively approve of some of Iran’s actions in the same way they would laugh if a Trump official was sucked up by a tornado. They see this as Israel’s war being fought by exploited Americans, rather than a fight for the core engine of the global exploitation that allows them to live so well (relative to their victims) while handing over a large share of their superwages to “the service economy” & rentier extraction.

Iran is not one of the countries allowed to fight wars by their standards. It’s just that Trump has temporarily demoted the American military to enslaved by Dictators (Trump & Netanyahu). We know from experience they don’t cry about bombing children. So what gives? They want shoot & cry not shoot, laugh, & cry. Obama would cry before he would laugh, like Avengers Thandos movie.

They would certainly Please KKKlap along with KKKamala if she said the same things about freeing Iranian women as Trump, a little slicker, & portrayed these attacks differently in the media. Too bad for them, she never intended to win.

On the off chance you are being genuine here: they ignored the sanctions on Russia by supplying them with Shahed drones. Which have been terrorizing Ukraine almost daily.

Is Ukraine being sanctioned by anyone? Did they start a war of aggression? Are they bombing shopping malls, abducting children, and denying Russia’s right to even exist?

Has Ukraine been terrorizing and occupying its neighbors for decades, driving them into the arms of NATO?

          Fuck off with your both-sidesing.

Liberals love to talk shit and look down on countries where ethnic cleansing happens as uncivilized (except of course for Ukranian ethnic cleansing, you just ignore that like you ignore all the nazis) while themselves being exactly the kind of people who would pick up a machete if someone in authority told them their neighbor was a Russian plant.

The armed insurrection was made up of people who, among other things, used a 9K37 “Buk” surface-to-air missile launcher (conveniently on loan from Russia) to kill hundreds of people traveling overhead in a Malaysian Airlines passenger jet.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. That 14,300 casualties figure you’re likely alluding to includes 6,500 Russian-sponsored separatist fighters, 4,400 Ukrainian (!) soldiers, and 3,404 civilian victims on both sides of the conflict. The three hundred people killed in the separatist shootdown of MH17 are included in the latter figure.

Both the OSCE and the International Criminal Court have investigated Russia’s claims of Ukraine’s alleged genocide in the Donbas and come to the conclusion that there is no such thing.

On the contrary, Vladimir Putin (like Benjamín Netanyahu) is being sought by the ICC as a war criminal.

If you were to stop regurgitating state propaganda and listen to actual genocide scholars, UN institutions, and the ICC you would have to admit that it looks very much like Russia has always been using these allegations of genocide against Russian people to prepare an illegal occupation of Ukraine and to mask its own genocidal activities.

That’s all the enlightenment I can provide to you and your ilk; you are now going on my block list. Have a great life.

As if Russian anti-Ukraine propaganda wasn’t enough, Ukraine feels the need to pull crazy shit like this.

Yes, please, fuel the war with Iran and drive oil prices higher, just because Iran is supplying Russia. By the same logic, Russia is within their rights to attack all of Europe for supplying Ukraine.

Just because Russia invaded Ukraine and killed several thousand of Ukrainian civilians, doesn’t mean Ukraine gets to kill Russian and Iranian civilians. If Ukraine is gonna spend equipment it gets from the EU on killing innocent people and escalating the conflict, the EU really should reevaluate its support to Ukraine.

Again - just because another country invades you and commits war crimes, does not mean you get to commit war crimes against it and its allies. A war crime is a war crime.

Would anyone be okay with Iran slaughtering American civilians, just because the US slaughtered Iranian civilians? Or even further, would anyone be okay with Iran targeting British civilians, because the UK assists the US in military operations?

Tbh an eye for an eye. The US and its allies have committed war crimes time and time again, actively disregarding international rule of law. As an American I can truthfully say we are too far insulated from the atrocities our gov commits and we condone or at least ignore them. There’s too many people far too comfortable with war so long as it doesn’t touch their comfy little western countries, and maybe if they actually felt the threat of it we might have some people willing to do something.

Tbh an eye for an eye.

This approach is precisely what eventually gets you a nuclear war. If neither side cares about morals, if neither is willing to even try deescalating, and if both are fine slaughtering innocents - sooner or later you get destruction for everyone and everything.

It’s like somebody murdered a member of your family, so in retaliation you murdered a member of their family. Repeat 15 times and you’re all dead. For what? Satisfying your egos? In what world is that justifiable in any capacity? Or even morals aside - in what world is that at all helpful?

The US and its allies have committed war crimes time and time again, actively disregarding international rule of law.

So? Again - one country commits war crimes, so others should too?

As an American I can truthfully say we are too far insulated from the atrocities our gov commits and we condone or at least ignore them.

I’m not even American and I find this incredibly ignorant, as well as insulting to Americans. That’s how bad this part is.

There’s too many people far too comfortable with war so long as it doesn’t touch their comfy little western countries, and maybe if they actually felt the threat of it we might have some people willing to do something.

Who is comfortable with war? Aside from ultra rich psychopaths for whom it’s beneficial. Many people don’t really know war, because their countries haven’t participated in one in nearly a century or longer. Is it their fault for being born in peaceful regions of the planet?

I don’t know what you expect here. This entire comment is just a bunch of random topics glued together in hopes they’ll magically fit and make sense. You offered an rxtremely simplistic and limited perspective, without contributing anything new, other than “yeah, fuck everybody, they deserve it”.

This reeks of privilege. Why do you think those regions are “peaceful” while others aren’t? Because of Europe and America. The peace is only a finite thing too anyway as capitalism contracts, fascism expands. That’s why there’s been such a rise in fascism in our ever-so peaceful countries.

Literally, if not for Western plunder and death, then the forever-war in the west-Asia would not be a thing. African countries would not be in a horrible state after centuries of exploitation (and are still actively being exploited!)

Unless maybe they had intelligence that they had weapons that were going to be used against Ukraine on that ship headed into Russia? That’s kind if fair game if so.

But if they got that info from US… Its probably bullshit sadly and I’d hate if they were played like that.

“Sure they’ve lost like a dozen bases and a whole bunch of irreplacable war, recon and logistics planes plus most of their reaper drones, but they still have their boats that catch fire and flood with shit”

The navy retreated from the red sea because it knew a ship hit was only a matter of time, and they had no defense against it. Same with Hormuz. The US keeps it’s fleets away from actual danger because they’re it’s military prestiege and mobile air power, but everyone in charge of one knows that one drone swarm or hypersonic salvo will turn it into a new coral reef.

Not everyone knows the West uses all possible colonies/vassal states to wage war and there’s enough propaganda out there (despite the available information regarding the coup in Ukraine) to confuse the public about Ukraine.
