Hi, unrelated question if you don’t mind.
I see you’re from dbzer0 which I want to join.
I’m quite new to the Fediverse and I’m confused.
You’re on lemmy.ml and can post/comment here.
When I go to dbzer0 I can’t.
Do I need to sign up and make a different account or link my .ml account somehow?
I suspect it’s possible since you use your @lemmy.dbzer0.com account here.
I don’t want to be banned for making an alt account.
You can access any sub and post whatever you wish.
You can post on !worldnews@lemmy.world instead of !worldnews@lemmy.ml if you wish.
You’re communicating to three people in this thread all on different instances, all from your own account on another instance. You don’t need to join another server if you don’t want to. If you can’t access an instance or something, it’s because your instance has defederated or simply blocked it.
I was specifically talking about dbzer0 of which Viking_Hippie is a member.
If I go there I can not post or even comment.
Are you trying to post in a specific dbzer0 sub?
This sub for example: !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com
I just want to be able to see them and comment on them.
I can when I click on your link but I wouldn’t even know it existed without you posting it.
now if I go to their main page https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/communities
and choose the same community https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/piracy I can’t.
Maybe it’s easiest to just make a specific account on dbzer0, if that’s allowed.
Don’t go to dbzer0. View dbzer0 from inside lemmy.ml.
Go to the search and search up the dbzer0 community you want, then subscribe.
If you would rather dbzer0 as your main home, you can also go and make an account on dbzer0 and join lemmy.ml communities using the same process.
OK I get it now, thanks
