Same! I deleted my 10 year account. Kinda not even sad. It was going downhill for a while now. But hey I just created my own instance for gardeners called thegarden.land so now I have a new home to grow roots and thrive!

Really? I don’t get that. I go to the ‘communities’ button at the top, where they are sorted by population, so it’s easy to find some good ones right away. If I want to search something specific I type it in the search bar and there it is. Is it not that way for you? That seems easy to me

I have been thinking about what this would look like when sea level rises even a little. Picturing a small town on the Oregon coast. You know it’s not like the whole town would be destroyed right away, maybe just like 10% of homes plus a main road gets damaged and a gas station or grocery store. But now it’s to dfficult to live in the town when you have to drive so far around the other way and can’t get groceries. So people start moving away to Portland or Eugene. Now the property values are so low at the damaged coastal towns that they have no money to move with. More people living in poverty packed into the cities.

My point is that it’s not like the entire coast needs to be underwater to completely displace whole towns. Only small amounts of sea level rise can absolutely devastate

I think these type of bans are great and will cause the industry and buying trends to shift well before the deadline. Who wants to buy the last diesel truck, you know? When everything else is shifting away it wouldn’t even make sense anymore. The ban encourages manufacturers to implement cost effective alternatives well before the deadline
